The Jayakarta Suites Komodo Flores ★★★★

We had a lovely stay in The Jayakarta Suites! Breakfast was great with an excellent choice of all kinds of food. The freshly prepared eggs were delicious! The gardens in which the hotel is located are beautiful and the pool was refreshing and clean!

The wifi was in and out.

In a very quiet part of Labuan Bajo, away from downtown and mosques. Good for a stay before the boat trip. Free airport transport is a plus.

Being away from the downtown area means not many choices in terms of food. The hotel has a restaurant on the ground floor but is quite expensive. Be careful when taking shower as the water can be dangerously hot.

The staff were super friendly and helpful. Great spot for sunset. They offer a free shuttle into town each evening. Great options for breakfast.

Rooms were a little noisy, you could hear people in the corridor and people watching TV in the early hours of the morning.

Nice place--out of the way from the main town, but they did provide a shuttle from 6pm to 9 pm to drop you off and pick you back up in town. Nice and peaceful! Beach was nice but there was not chairs on any place to sit! Some trash on the beach! The breakfast in the morning was good!

The out of town Indonesians were very loud, noise and left trash all around the pool area. We had to leave the pool area a few time due to this! Disappointed!

Surrounds - pool, garden

Noisy on the accommodation floors - tiles on the floors meant noise carried including slamming doors. The food was very expensive and not good quality. Soggy BLT and chips were awful!

Comfortable rooms, nice pool, good wi-fi, free airport shuttle service.

Breakfast seems to be extensive but not good quality (both with my partner we had a stomach disorder after it).

The beautiful gardens, proximity to the beach, quiet surrounding.

The food (!) I can not recommend it (!) also the many smell enhancers… in the lift, in the laundry… almost made me sick to my stomach.

The garden, pool and beach area are nice.

The rooms are old, run down, and badly in need of renovation. It's also quite far from the city and anywhere else to eat. and the food available is not bad, but it's not very good either. very basic. lots of nice restaurants in the city, though. it's a 50,000 motorbike ride to the city. not terrible, but sort of a pain to have to go there for a decent meal.

Well kept, nice pool. They picked you up For free and dropped you off for Free. There was also a free shuttle that went into town at 6pm. Not sure if it ran other times.

It is a ways out there, bar prices were high and the “tax” was also high compared to the harbor area.

Big hotel with super friendly staff. They have shuttle to the fish market every day at 6pm, not sure if they have another schedule. They also provide free airport transfer return to airport. The breakfast was wide choice and good taste! I stayed in the room with amazing ocean view. The swimming pool is very clean, and just a walk away to the beach. Absolutely will stay here again.

The view is spectacular. The staff friendly.

Very basic choice of food options that doesn’t change. No restaurant or bar or the days we were there as they had been rented out. No inside dining space - evening meal has many mosquito guests. No local Flores dining options.

The free airport shuttle bus. The grounds keepers!! Amazing!! They take epic pictures of you and the surround scenery. Noting was too much trouble for them.

The rooms are very dated. The TV is far to small for the room, must be an 14 inch. The front desk, were helpful. However, the bell hop, more so. He informed me of the free shuttle, that picks and drops you off into town at certain times. The only problem, the shuttle dropped me off & when I arrived at the pick up location 5 minutes before, the due time. The driver was no where to be seen. I waited for about 10 minutes, whilst being accosted by rogue taxi’s. I am not that happy, as anything could have happen, seen as thought I was a solo traveller. The breakfast was alright, they had a variable choice. Love the fact they had beef sausages and bacon. However, the birds flying and landing on the serving spoons, was very off putting. They ran out of butter, when a waitress came, she gave me frozen butter to spread on my toast. I had to ask her to get me butter that was not frozen, she back shortly with the individualised butter open and defrosted (microwave) The pool had leaves and insects dead, floating inside. I had to wait over 30 minutes for pool towels to be made available. The WIFI is problematic. Every 5 seconds, it would log you out and you would have to re-enter the information, in order to access the internet.

We stayed here before/after a boat tour around the islands of komodo national park. We arrived several hours before check-in so spent the day by the pool while our room was being prepared. We did the same on the day of our departure as we had a late flight out of Labuan Bajo. The pool and day beds are fantastic! We had it all to ourselves for the whole day. The ocean view rooms are spacious and clean, with amazing views. We were upgraded to the Jayakarta Suite on our final night - it was a beautiful room with balcony, lounge area and huge bathroom. The staff in the restaurant and around the pool are extremely lovely. The hotel stored our luggage for us while we were on our 3 day boat tour.

We paid extra 100,000 rupiah on our first night to have an ocean view (rather than hill view). Considering the total price of the ocean view room (over 1 million rupiah), it was disappointing that there was no balcony. But the view from the windows was still amazing. The food isnt fantastic ( but it's not terrible). Again, for the price of the hotel you may expect a little higher standard. Saying that, we definitely didnt go hungry! Go for the local indonesian dishes rather than western.

Bed was comfortable and room spacious. Bathroom too was spacious

Thought it was too expensive for an old resort. Breakfast provided was below standard. Dinner was ok.

The property was njce and clean and big

The food and drink was very expensive for what it was and service was very poor, had to go to reception 3 times to ask for someone to come to the pool so I could buy a bottle of water, it just seemed the staff didn’t realy want to serve us

The view

Absolutely everything. The worst 4 star hotel I've ever had the misfortune of visiting. Just an example (and clearly not the worst thing), this place offers spa treatments but doesn't even provide sufficient power sockets or even a hairdryer. Food was atrocious. Restaurant staff were incompetent. I would say avoid, but I don't know what's better in that area.

The greenery and pool area were well maintained.

Unfortunately I could not have said the same about the room I was assigned to when I booked. The bathroom reeked of piss. Disappointing. Housekeeping came to clean after I made a formal complaint. The breakfast spread was subpar and below average. The only saving grace was the fruit platter. Either the management needs to ship out or retrain.
